I will be going back to see my sweet BeBe again tomorrow. I'll take the train...it is easier on me and the car not to mention the gas and tolls over and back.
I love train travel - - it's almost like going back a half century when you board and take your seat. I love looking out the window at the scenery or reading or just listening to the conversations of the other passengers! :)
I was surprised when I first began taking the train several years ago to notice that from the train you see the backyards of homes. Of course, now it makes perfect sense, that the homes would be built with their fronts facing the street but at first it was a very strange feeling! If you haven't been on a train in a long time or if you've never tried train travel, you owe it to yourself to book a train trip "and leave the driving to the engineer!" Bon Voyage!

I've told my husband that "next trip" I want it to be a train trip....but I sure HATED the Subway's in New York. I'd rather walk..or take a taxi that is forsure. Too fast and too scary underground. HA!
I took the trains in Europe before and they were nice...it was weird getting used to the "riding backwards" thing at first....but you adjust and then it's okay.
How far is your train ride is it long?
Have a GREAT visit.....I'm glad your going this often. It's important to you and to her and to your kids.
See ya!

Oh, I've always wanted to take a train ride across the country... How great you get to love on your little one so soon! Pictures! Pictures!
I think a train trip is a great idea. I love travelling by train. It is so un-stressful! I left a MUST SEE movie recommendation on today's blog! Have a look when you have time. And enjoy your dear little bundle! Lots of love Eleanor
Oh yes! Good observation...the backyards! I have thought the same thing. My favorite thing to do on a train is listen to Simon and Garfunkel's "Homeward Bound" while looking out the window. It's perfect!
So glad you took the train to come see us!
