I finally got some of the plants that I bought at our Church's plant sale planted! I think the plant stand/window box is going to be quite "showy" when the plants get growing! The plants still in the flats were planted this morning (whew! was it ever hot!) along the front bushes along the edge of the lawn.

Here is a picture of the Lemon Thyme that I hope to use in my cooking this summer!

A close up of the planter box: Sweet Potato Vine on either end, a red Geranium in the center,
Begonias on either side with Coleus just behind them. If you would like to see more Outdoor scenes, go visit Susan at

Your plants look nice in that planter. Sometimes, planters just make things better. The flowers are easier for me to take care in pots or planters than the ground. Like you said it is much too hot in the yard here.
It has been so hot and steamy here. Sounds like a bad novel.
You did a great job planting those! And lemon thyme? Sounds good! It's supposed to be triple digit here come Saturday. Don't want it that hot! Whew...Take care sister and God bless you always.
LOVE your planter!!! I finally finished planting 6 pots that I put on our back patio every year and I cleaned out our front planter, trimmed the shrubs and put down a fresh layer of mulch. I still have more to do, but it will happen when it happens!! I cut way back on the amount of plants I hauled home this year. They are so pricey....and I get tired of watering them by the end of July. I'm gonna really enjoy FEWER of them this year!
Hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend! L, dana
I SO have to do this. Good for you!
LOL...I liked what Dayle wrote. This is one area I have never been very good in...PLANTS! I admire your green thumb, Mau!
Love,
Dau
Looks like you are getting a lot of sun... I will try to not be jealous!
