The election is over and, today, I am part of the half of the country that is disappointed with the outcome. It is hard to imagine what lies ahead of us when we have elected a person who has admitted he dislikes our Constitution and all that it stands for. Many years ago the British statesman, William E. Gladstone, said of our Constitution, it is "the most wonderful work ever struck off at a given time by the brain and purpose of man."
In our world today, filled with strife , struggle and uncertainty, the American people should remember that we own no more precious document than our great Constitution. I pray we keep it safe.

I feel exactly the same way you do. I hope and pray that things won't get as bad in this country as I fear they will.

Dear Miss Daisy, having lived through great political turmoil my whole life in South Africa, I can just encourage you to look to God who reigns over men and nations! We have seen miracles in South Africa of reconciliation in spite of our many ongoing problems. Those of us who have desisted to emigrate and have opted to stay here and make a difference know that we must keep our eyes on another Kingdom! Sorry if I sound preachy! But we are friends!
Dear, dear Eleanor, You have lived through times like these in your country and I treasure your wise advice.
I do know that praying and reading my Bible everyday helps to keep me focused on what is truly important.
