BOOK BLURB FRIDAY

Hi and welcome to Book Blurb Friday where Lisa Ricard Claro of Writing in the Buff provides a picture and you write a jacket blurb of a fictitious book using the picture as a prompt. Blurb must be 150 words or less. If you would like to join in the fun go HERE. Here is my first attempt:

Ann Best, photographer, has graduated from Seneca School of Photographic Arts and in the morning she leaves for Ireland for the summer. While there, she will be photographing a series of historic sites for National Geographic. She meets her friend Caitlyn at the Airport Gardens Lounge for a bon voyage glass of wine. Caitlyn asks a favor of Ann...would Ann call a mutual friend and ask him to meet them at The Gardens. Ann wonders why Caitlyn doesn't call him herself. Their friend brings several more friends and things later spiral out of control. Ann wakes up not remembering what happened - - or where she is. Her only clue...a blurry picture of a man walking up to the bar, his back to the camera. Will it be enough to help her figure out where she is and how she got here? (142)

Oh my! I take it she is probably going to miss her plane. You did great ... your story is very interesting.

Interesting read, I would love to know if, how and with whom she wakes up!

I only looked at the other posts after I'd written mine last night and was amused to see we'd both headed for Ireland and a meeting in a bar - I even half recognised this one! - fascinating stuiff.

I love blurbs that ask lots of questions and get the reader puzzling before they even turn the first page. I want to know more!

What murky deeds has Caitlyn caused? Hope Ann will be able to get her life back. Scary!

Fabulous idea! I love seeing all the different takes people have on the same picture. Yours is very intriguing and makes me want to read the book.

I sound like a broken record, but I really do enjoy all the BBFs and want everyone to write their books!

The emotional "vertigo" this character is plagued with...very interesting.

I would read this book to the end to find out how everything plays out.

Caitlyn doesn't sound like much of a friend. What has she dragged poor Ann into? Mysterious and intriguing! Great job!

Great! You got my attention. Sounds like a Lifetime movie or something. Those pretty much have a "you sucked me in" factor.
