A few weeks ago my daughter, son in law and granddaughter came to spend some time with me here in NJ. During their visit, we pulled out the memories and started going through all the old albums.
It was fun going through the old albums and having a good time laughing at some of the good times we remembered and the trips we had taken and how our "look" changed through the years.
It is hard to believe how many pictures and albums we filled over the years. This box was at the back of one of my closets...I really did need to go through them and find a better place to keep them. They are very precious to my whole family. That is why I've picked old pictures as my Simple Pleasures this week.

I think old photos are wonderful keepsakes - especially of our immediate families!
I often pull out pictures of our boys when they were small and think back to those years :-)

You and Dayle are two peas in a pod this week! I told her this and I'll tell you. I almost covet this one. I am horrible at making albums, and I don't know why. I have always wanted to, but I never have. I really love your simple pleausure. I'm crazy about old photo memories.
This is reminding me how much I have to work on my photo albums. ((blush)) Yes photo albums are a wonderful simple pleasure. They are a wonderful way to reminisce over the good ol' days.

Hi Jean, thanks for stopping by on for Simple Pleasures. I love photo albums too. Before digitals I made plenty of them and now I am trying to do something different with them because they take up so much space. It's nice to go back and relive so many special memories as we go through the books.

Oh wow, I must have missed this post. This is a very FUN simple pleasure that I enjoyed immensely. Ask my Dear Hubby, when I'm feeling blue I pull out my old albums and I'm in heaven again.
