Here we are at the Wilbur Chocolate Co. museum in Lititz, PA during my visit to see my daughter Jillian and granddaughter Bebe. We decided we needed to keep busy during some of the hotter weather we'd been having this summer so off to Lititz and the chocolate museum.

Below are some of the molds that were used for many years in the chocolate making process.
Here is the "cooking area" and some of the many pots, pans and implements used in the candy making business.

I think the best part of the museum was the gift shop where we perused the many different types of candy. Wilbur's is known for their Wilbur's Buds kind of a Hershey Kiss but more densely chocolate! HA!
Linking up with Dayle of A Collection of This and That for Simple Pleasures Thursday. If you would like to join our party go

I hope you got some Wilbur Buds! Yum.
i saw the "chocolate" part of your linky & clicked over... but the wilbur's part made me tear up :) for 11 years we had a family ice cream shop named wilbur's ice cream... and at some point along the way we discovered wilbur's choc and carried it in our store... for fun! i actually have a two wilbur chocolate pans in my (ice cream decorated) dining room :) someday i hope to visit there... thank you for this virtual visit!!
That sounds like the kind of day trip that I enjoy, Jean. In fact, I think I need to find a little adventure like that nearby. It would be just what the doctor ordered.
now that's my kind of fun trip!!!
What an interesting and fun place to visit!
Is Wilburs the inspiration for "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory?
I love all the vintage things on display..and I'm sure I'd love their buds too lol!!
Bless you Jean :-)
