WHAT I DO WHEN I'M NOT BLOGGING
This is my front door and the trim around the storm door really needed to be repainted...I'd been thinking of calling someone to come out and paint it but it is hard to find someone willing to do such a small job. I decided to tackle it myself and as I got into it, I found it was not as difficult as I had imagined it to be.
I'm halfway done and decided I needed to take some pictures of me actually doing some work! :) You can see my reflection in the glass of the storm door wearing my white painter's cap. See that ladder? It is 11 years old and looks brand new - does that tell you something?
I've got all the blue tape around the trim and I've put the primer on and am getting ready to put on the exterior coat. The primer took about an hour to dry (so I went in and had lunch while I waited for it to dry) as it is the perfect day for painting...no humidity and about 70 degrees.

You are an inspiration... I need all the foot moulding done at my house... wanna come over? You don't even need a ladder!
Sounds like you had a perfect day for this!
I appreciate you and The Daisy Chain
Impressive Madre! Wanna help us paint??? :)
Good job!
Thanks for your encouraging words about our move.
Is that the front door or back door? Not that it matters......HA!
I like your little Fourth of July flags you have out decorating your porch.
"70 degrees" is that ALL?? Good Lord we hit 100 here yesterday. Today in the pool group.....the water was 94 degrees.....we felt like LOBSTERS! Well more to our region maybe...we felt like CRAWFISH!!!
I like that your doing your door and saving all that money! It is hard work though I am sure.
Hang in there my friend!
