The Red Oak Murders
When another body turns up near the small town of Bernell in the wooded Vermont hills, P.I. Kate Wilhelm is called in by her close friend Jen Baker to help run the investigation into the murders of two local townspeople. Jen has been the sheriff of Bernell for three years and has had little experience with murder let alone anything this puzzling. A calling card or trademark is left beside the body...a red flower leaning up against the nearest tree, an oak. Does the type of tree have meaning along with the flower? How are the victims chosen? Is it random or is there a pattern? All this must be taken into consideration when Kate and Jen start the search. Little do they know that the trail will lead them back to their Alma mater, Woodston University and a professor they both love. (145) Title does not count in the word count.
Come on, jump in and start writing blurbs for Book Blurb Friday - it's really fun!
