HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year everyone! It is now more than an hour after the lighted ball descended in Times Square declaring the beginning of 2009. I can't decide if we should be saying 2 thousand 9 or as they did in the first decade of the 20th century - 20 ought 9? What do you think? What sounds better to your ear? Then, when we get to 2010 we can say twentyten, twentyeleven, etc. instead of 2 thousand 10, etc. as it gets to be pretty much a mouthful. Okay, I'll stop now as it is getting very late! Ha!

But first, I want to say how much I've enjoyed blogging and meeting and making so many sweet, wonderful blogger friends. My daughter, Jillian, (of Jillian's Pages) introduced me to blogging in May of '08 and I've not stopped writing since.

I hope you all have the most wonderful, happy, healthy NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year to YOU, Jean! You stayed up LATE! :) We actually did end up going out with some friends at the last minute, but we were home by 10:30. I saw the fun in Times Square and wishes I could be there one day to bring in a New Year.
I think I like to say two-thousand and nine---the "ought" thing just doesn't sound right to me.
I'm so glad Jillian got you interested in blogging--I have so loved "finding" you and your sweet daughter! I hope you have a great New Year filled with lots of great health and happiness!

May you have a new year filled with goodness and blessings.

I always say two thousand and nine. I guess it's just whatever seems right to each individual.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you. I'm glad you started blogging too. Isn't it amazing how you can get addicted to blogging? I never imagined I would enjoy it as much as I do. I was pretty reluctant to ever start. I'm sure glad I did.
