A little boy was having a
hard time lifting a heavy
stone. His father asked,
"Are you using all your
strength?"
"Yes, I am," the boy re-
plied.
"No you're not," said the
father. "I'm right here wait-
ing, and you haven't asked
me to help."
When we are faced with
a problem that seems un-
solvable or a burden that is
too heavy, we might ask
ourselves, "Are we using all
our strength?" Our Father,
too, is waiting to help.

Great perspective...we think we are using all that we have when we forget to ask God to help! Thanks for linking up with Second Chance Tuesday!

How often do I do that? Thinking I can do everything on my own...Stubborn me...only with Christ...we can!
God bless you sister. Praying all is well with you.
Love this analogy. I need to remember to lean on His strength and not try to do things on my own.
Thanks for sharing, Annette
The simplicity of this little story grabs me. I stand guilty as charged at times for not using all of the strength that is available to me through the Father.
Excellent!
Awesome thought! Thank you.
Interesting point. We humans DO tend to try to "carry the load" ourselves. It's easier we think. But it's not. It's so much easier to cast our cares onto Him that loves us and can manage all these problems so much better than we can.
He sees the "big" picture....we don't.
