I do not know the future,
But I know the God who
knows,
And in His perfect wisdom,
unknowing, I repose.
What good could come of
knowing?
How little I could do
To meet the joys or sorrows
That I am coming to!
I do not know the future,
But I know the God who
knows, --
I make His love my study
And follow where He
goes.
The path, its joys and sor-
rows,
I do not care to trace;
Content to know His good-
ness,
His mercy, and His grace.

That's a very calming, beautiful prayer! Kathleen.
Thank you Kathleen, I liked it too.
I'm going to try to post a new prayer every Tuesday.

I really like this prayer! Reading it, I was positive you had written it! Either way, it was just right.

PS...don't forget...Second Chance Tuesday! (repost something old you liked???) :0)
I love this prayer. It reminds me of a favorite old song that my mother loves called something like, "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow." Her pastor knew that she loved it and unexpectedly sang it in the middle of my dad's eulogy for her. It was a wonderful and comforting moment.
This prayer post is comforting as well!
What a sweet, sweet prayer. Thanks for sharing.

Very beutiful pray!
Beautiful poem, Kathleen! Thanks for sharing Luff's poetry. It is so true--it's better not to know the future, but to rest in the arms of God, come good or bad.
