TUESDAY'S PRAYERS AND POEMS

Albert Bierstadt's Mountain Landscape

THINGS WORTHWHILE

These things make life
worthwhile to me:
A sunset sky, a maple tree;
A mountain standing grim
and gray
Against the skyline far
away;
A baby's laugh, a summer
breeze,
A roadway winding 'neath
the trees;
A friend to trust, a book to
read,
And work which meets
some human need;
And through it all, a sense
of God
Lifting my soul above the
sod;
The hope and peace which
He can give--
These make it worth my
while to live.

I don't know who the author is, but it could have been me.

Not that I have the talent, but I feel the same was as expressed by it.

It's lovely,and I clicked to enlarge that painting. It's lovely too!

Jean, this is such a beautiful poem. I'm in awe of people who can put words together a make a rhyme. I've only done it a few times in my life and it never turned out as lyrical as this.

What a lovely and moving poem, Jean!! The words are so perfect for our season of thanksgiving....and EVERY day!

I LOVE your new door color. I sure wish I enjoyed home maintenance projects....but I HATE them. Wish you lived closer....we could barter!! :)

Hope you're having a good week.....will you be spending TGiving with The Bebe and her parents? :)
