"DOWN THE SHORE"

My dear SIL with BeBe in stroller walking past the Music Pier where many activities are held, including musicals and plays.
Some of the attractions of this very family friendly resort.

Shriver's where they make salt water taffy and have a window in the back of the store where you can watch it being made! Most of these places are only open on the weekend until Memorial Day

Mack n Manco's Pizza

Last week (just a week before Memorial Day) my daughter Jillian at Jillians Pages came "down the shore" with her Dear Hubs and Dear BeBe for a visit to my home here at the Jersey Shore. ("Down the shore" is shorthand whenever visitors talk about coming to the Southern NJ Shore area.) She wanted to visit the boardwalk and especially wanted to taste the best pizza at the Shore, Mack n Mancos.
We had a wonderful visit even though the weather did not really cooperate as it was overcast and cloudy and very misty. Even so, being together and at a pre-crowd boardwalk, we had a very beachy time! Come back when it is full summer rush and enjoy the cool ocean breezes -"down the shore."

I'm a Jersey girl and love going 'down the shore' as well.

Your lucky to have a house at the beach, that's great!

Sheri,
Many years ago, when I was a young married lady, we went to O.C. Maryland and had a really good time.
Have a great time!

When I first started reading this I WONDERED in my head if this was "JERSEY".....said with that accent and all. HA! I've never been there but I've heard so much about it......maybe one day.
Looks overcast there. Is it? It will be sunny soon I bet....it's SO HUMID here we are about to die ....already. HA!
More hot summer to come so we better get over it and FAST.

See ya!

Hi Jean,
Thanks for stopping by today. That birdhouse was a Christmas present from my son. I believe he got it on eBay. It is cute, isn't it? I was thrilled to receive it as I LOVE birdhouses! Have a wonderful weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi
