POSTAGE STAMP GARDENING

This is my staging area for planting. It is on the end of the patio - I plan to plant the urns soon with what we call Million Bells and I like pink!
I had to plant the Better Boy by himself no room on the other side!
I wanted to show what the tomatoes will look like when planted along the fence.

Here I'm getting ready to clean little Miss Mermaid with a wire brush.

This is how my postage stamp garden looks like when I'm all ready for summer! I used dwarf Alberta Spruce trees to edge my property borders 11 years ago. When five of them died in a drought a few years ago, I put the bench in their places and added a "dwarf" Crepe Myrtle (glad I didn't buy a full sized one!) There you have it from start to finish except I didn't show the Impatiens I planted in a planter on the patio and also in a pot I placed in the midst of a patch of varigated vinca vine.

Kab,
Yes, fill it with as many flowers as you can squeeze in so the weeds don't have a chance!

Love,
Ms.Daisy

Your yard area is CUUUUUTE. Ours is a mess. But we ALREADY have red ripe tomatos can you believe that??
But it is the south.....we planted ours like in March?? Mabye it was late Feb. I can't remember. HA!
But they are good so far....

So I guess I didn't know you had family in Metarie.....

Yes.....those crawfish are a tad scary...but you get used to them. We've been here 20+ years now so we are "native"...HA! Two of my children were born here in Baton Rouge so ....this is all they know really.
I must confess I don't eat as much crawfish at a boil as my family does...I go for the potatos and corn. HA!

Hope your garden turns out soon...it will be summer before we know it. In fact....it's summer here now. Blah!
HA!
Be blessed......Joyce

Your postage stamp garden is just delightful! I wish I could sit on that bench with you and enjoy a cool drink. I also love pink and I always plant impatiens, such grateful little flowers. Blessings! Eleanor
