BOOK BLURB FRIDAY

Because of some blogger issues yesterday, my Book Blurb is a little late this week. Book Blurb Friday is the meme by our own Lisa Ricard Caro of Writing in the Buff who provides us with a picture (this week's is by Lynn Obermoeller) and tells us to "write a book jacket blurb (150 words or less) so enticing that potential readers would feel compelled to buy the book."
When in the great archeological dig of the year 2212, this mystic temple piece was unearthed, all of what was left of planet Halfearth was enthralled. It was the greatest find anyone had discovered since the skeletal remains of what was once known as the Boxwood Gate was uncovered in 2140. Speculation continues with many renowned archeologists and scientists converging on the site in the great Southwestern area of what was once a continent called North America. Many flew in with their extremely bright and colorful parasailing suits showing what states they were associated with in case the ungoverned territory was patrolled by the "unfriendlies" who were determined to keep their secrets safe from probing eyes. Read the thrilling account of this amazing discovery in the next copy of Planet Halfearth on your personal embedded eye decoder. Due out next quarter week. (140)

Holy cow. This is awesome! I want one of those personal embedded eye decoders. It sounds like a major upgrade to my Kindle. Great blurb! I really like it.

No more Nooks or Kindles, huh?

I wouldn't have even dreamed of writing a science fiction piece for this photo. You really thought out of the box this time!

Wow, half-earth and quarter-weeks, and undescribed unfriendlies ...sure to hook the SciFi junkies and a few non-junkies, too. Way to go.

Ms. Daisy, you are wonderful! I love the pulsating suits covered with places they have visited, as if they are intergalactical RV'rs seeking out ruins from the past. Awesome book idea, I'd love to read the whole thing.

Have a great weekend!
