When her captors slipped off the blindfold, Tula Fancy just stared. A gorge in the valley of the Bittersly Mountains opened out before her and she sucked in her breath with the beauty of the place. But, who were these people, a woman and two men, who had taken her from her workplace just hours ago? She had asked over and over where she was being taken and why. Only silence and the ring of the horses' hooves on stone was her answer. Now, she turned to the one who seemed to be the leader and asked again. "Who are you and what do you want from me?" "Best not to ask questions girl," the woman said cryptically. The reason for Tula's abduction will be made clear when Manny Dunn takes conrol of the investigation. Seventh mystery in the Manny Dunn series. (143)

Jean, I love your names and your story ... and that it was set in the olden days.
I can't wait to read more!
Happy BBF,
Kathy
The names are terrific. I love Tula Fancy. The first name made me think of Tallulah Gorge in the North GA Mountains, and the last name evokes all kinds of visuals. Manny Dunn is great, too...Manny must be manly. :) This sounds mysterious and adventurous. :)
I loved the phrase about the ring of the horses' hooves on the stone. I could hear it so clearly. Great blurb!
Tula Fancy sounds a bit of an airhead ... I hope she can gather sufficient wits to escape this scenario, especially with the help of the impressive-sounding Manny Dunn. Like the set up for this tale - lots of potential.
Seventh in a series, Wow! Now I want to meet Manny. The names are terific.
Have you ever written a novel and I've just missed that disclosure? I'm serious with the question because you are such the writer.
Great, full of suspense. I want to read more. This is so interesting to see what people wrote about with this photo. Nice with the series comment.
Ooh, chills and thrills! Will Tula get out alive?
Very intriguing, a beginning that begs for more. And I do love your names!
Love the name, "Tula Fancy!" And a kidnapping?! Sounds like a winner to me.
Nice hook! And the names-LOL!
Oh I like it ... especially the names. That is always my favorite part of the blurb. And I love that you made it a series.
You got me hooked right in there. :)
That's a good one, but now I'm obsessing about the first six Manny Dunn books. I'm a sucker for a series!
